Q & A with Juha-Pekka Luntama, Head of the ESA Space Weather Office

Juha-Pekka (Jussi) is Head of ESA’s Space Weather Office, a key part of the Agency’s space safety activities. After working as a GRAS Mission Scientist at Eumetsat in Darmstadt, Germany, and as a research scientist at the Finnish Meteorological Institute, Jussi is now leading ESA’s efforts in understanding, monitoring and better responding to the threats posed by space weather. These include the Agency’s Space Weather Services Network and the upcoming Lagrange solar-hazard warning mission
